I'm an American living and working in London. No matter where I am in the world, I have anxiety when it comes to dental work. So when my crown fell out while flossing, I went into an immediate state of panic. I scoured the internet looking for a dentist, and discovered Dr. Dickson on Yelp. I gave them a call. The receptionist was Really Nice. I made an appointment as soon as I could get to them, and the experience was superb. I felt as ease. I showed up early and they saw me right away. Dr. Dickson is, as advertised, Really Nice. But better yet, he's also Highly Skilled. No pain. No anxiety. I was in and out in thirty minutes and am now relieved to know that I have a terrific dentist in London, should the need ever arise. I've been telling everyone I know to give Dr. Dickson a try. I'm glad I did, even though I drove out to Chiswick from Maida Vale. Yeah, there were options much closer to my flat, but a twenty minute trek was more than worth the skill and personality of Dr. Dickson and his radiant staff. Thanks, Doctor!

What really made a difference for me in choosing the Really Nice Dentist was the fact that I could book online at the end of a busy day at a time that was convenient to me, rather than worrying about fitting in a call to book an appointment in the middle of a hectic work day. The confirmation was a friendly e-mail and the appointment was also a convenient Saturday morning slot rather than having to shoe horn something in at the start or end of a workday. All this meant a relaxed, convenient transaction which fitted in with my lifestyle, which made a big difference for me.

Dr David Dickson may be the nicest dentist I have ever had the pleasure to meet. My Wife, children and I all had appointments on the same day for a checkup, clean and polish. Digital x-rays preceded the clean, that, the only bad thing about it was that it tickled! If you have any fears/reservations about dentists, go and see Dr Dickson.

I have to admit that when I moved to the UK from the USA, the idea of seeing a dentist here made my blood run cold. Let's face it. England doesn't exactly have the best reputation for teeth or dentistry. But the time came and we had the insurance so off we went.
So yesterday I went on line to his handy dandy appointment website and booked myself in to have a cracked filling replaced. I think he is the best dentist I have ever had. My cleaning was actually pleasurable. My filling replacement well, it was dental work so I can't say it was pleasurable. What I can say is that apart from the Novocaine shot I didn't feel any pain. Even now that the numbness has worn off I feel totally fine. My filling feels very natural and like the old one when I bite on it. You know how sometimes you can just tell that someone is good at what they do? I get that feeling here. I think he is not only good at being a dentist but he really likes it and wants to make you as comfortable as possible. I also like that he really explains what is going on so you know what treatment you need, what treatments can wait and what is really important. Plus I can say that he is the first dentist ever to not mention my tongue piercing. Usually I get a lecture. Nope, nothing. Thanks again Dr. Dickson!!Sara
