Root treatment

State of the art equipment and a sympathetic approach allow us to carry root treatments without discomfort.
Root treatments need to be carried out to save teeth where the nerve has become infected and may have started to cause an abscess (identified by swelling or pain on biting).
We need to disinfect and clean the middle of the tooth and the channels that runs to the end of the roots, then seal these areas off to try and prevent the bacteria from returning. The tooth and root are then saved allowing you to chew normally again. Often we recommend that teeth that have had this problem are strengthened with a crown to try to protect them from cracking in the future.
